New Look

Hey guys! So I'm sort of updating everything to look a little more mature. My header doesn't fit which bothers me, but otherwise I like the updates. I've also updated my dolls names and bios and would love for you all to check that out! I've also made some decisions about who I'd like to find new homes for which should be happening soon. Selling...

Hey guys so I'm having a lot of trouble making a decision... I feel like I'm overrun with dolls and I need to get rid of some. I've decided to send Ruby/Lindsay back to agoverseasfan, BUT I can't decide which other doll I should sell. You see, I LOVE my custom Asia that I made, even if she doesn't look that much like me but I also have a very similar looking doll, Olive. I love Olive because she's so unique looking other than the hair and I kinda wish she had brown hair but idk. I mean I could rewig Olive and keep her but then I'd still need to sell another doll and can't decide who it should be. It could be Kate because I'm just not in love with her anymore but she was my second doll and I'm unsure if I'd feel guilty or not? I honestly don't know if I'd be that heart broken to see Kate go... What do you guys think? Which of my dolls do you like the least and would be the least upset to see go? Should I rewig Olive and sell Kate? Should I just sell Olive? Comment below and tell me what to do because I just can't decide :/

Information About Grow

Hey guys, so I thought I'd make a little post detailing why I decided against doing Grow as a few people were wondering why. Basically, I decided to scrap the series for a few reasons:
1) Interest. Firstly, I feel like it wouldn't be as well liked as it may have come off as. Grow was going to be a silent stop motion series that looked at a girl growing up via the little moments in her life. Basically, each episode would have been ~2 minutes long of quick stop motion scenes without any dialogue to them. There would have been character development, however none of it would have been vocal and it would have been a little harder to *get*. Essentially I feel like it would not have appealed to as many people, or been as interesting as a regular series considering a large part of our community is younger girls so I figured it probably wouldn't have been as well enjoyed or received.
2) Time. Secondly, making a stop motion series on its own is quite a lot of work. Add on top of that that each episode would have reflected on a year of the main characters life accounting for a crazy amount of costume changes, props and sets, I just wouldn't have had time between school and work to get the filming done. I know realistically that getting an episode out each week would have been almost impossible as it would have taken a few weeks at a time to finish each one and I wouldn't have time for any other videos in between. Not to say I'm too lazy to do it but I just have too much going on to make it frequently.
This being said, I still really like the idea of the series and I'd *eventually* like to do it one day (maybe in a summer where I get to work immediately instead of so late like this year) because I'd love to see how it turns out, plus it would be a unique take on AG series and maybe look good in the portfolio of short films I'd like to start making. Anyways, Grow won't be coming to a screen near you any time soon BUT we'll see what I can get done for it throughout the year :)))

OH ALSO: Just thought I'd clarify that Sisters In Black should be premiering the week after next, I'd just like to get a little head start on filming and post another stop motion first!!!

Yard Sale?

Hey guys, so I've been working away on the new series as well as a few new videos including one that comes out tomorrow (it's a special day!!!!) but I kinda realized something while I was making a video. Basically, a lot of new and trendy doll clothes have come out since I've been gone from independent shops and my doll wardrobe is a little... outdated... Not to say that it's all bad, I do have some good stuff and everything is really cute on it's own, but I'd like some clothes that are more "my style" for my dolls. Basically, I've been thinking about selling some of my old doll clothes as well as my doll snowboard in order to start a new wardrobe! I'm just wondering if anyone would be interested if I put up a sale on Etsy and a sale video of course. So if anyone would be interested in buying my stuff (I can send it with maybe a poster of a still when the outfit was in a video too for a bonus) let me know because I'd love to get some new stuff! I also have some TLC doll parts still and a doll I wanna sell so hopefully I'll be able to save up! Holla at me if you're interested!

Series???

Hey guys so I've reached an impasse with creating a new series. I have 2 series that I'd like to do but can't decide between the 2 of them. 1 is definitely more of a drama while the other is more of a comedy and something kinda different as to what I've done before. Essentially, without giving too much away I wanna ask and see what everyone would prefer for a series so I'll describe them and then you can vote for one below.
Series 1: The first series is about 3 best friends who live in a horribly boring small town and spend their entire summer trying to find something fun to do. They all have different interests and all have a different way they want to spend summer together. This series doesn't really have a super continuous plot so there's not as much of a cliffhanger at the end of each episode but the episodes do relate to one another. It's more of a funny series meant to be kinda lighter and not as serious. Most of it would be dumb silly jokes and little adventures with the 3 friends.
Series 2: This series is far more dramatic with a continuous plot. It's about a small town high school where kids are disappearing. 2 best friends get interested in the mystery but before they really try to solve anything and find the missing kids, someone very important to one of them disappears too so she decides she has to find them. Basically it's about a girl trying to unravel the secrets of her spooky town and find all the missing kids before any more disappear, and figure out where they're going. This one would be very spooky and dramatic for sure so I think people might be interested in it but I'm also concerned it might scare some of you guys.
Basically, vote below and feel free to comment and give me suggestions and feedback so I can get started! Also making a special video this week and I wanna try and make the first episode of grow soon, although I may consider abandoning it for a new series, I'm not totally sure yet, just 2 series seems like a lot... Thoughts??? Do you definitely wanna see Grow? Anyways, comment here or my channel and vote below!!!

I could have spelt them wrong or something of the sort, but either way, I can't contact them, and I need to. Hey guys so I plan on selling some of the dolls clothes I never use. Why? Well I'd really love to get some new stuff from Etsy places and this is more to make room than to make money, so I'm not pricing anything. If you want something, send me a message and we'll discuss pricing but I can guarantee that we can negotiate it to anything just so I can get rid of it! Not that I don't like any of this, it's that my dolls NEVER wear it for whatever reason so it would be better off in another home. I'll be sure it's all clean before I send it to you! Payment is only by paypal but I recommend getting an account anyway because it's free, easy, useful and no need for sharing your credit card all the time! I'll tell you more about that if you message me about pricing! You can buy as much as you like and shipping will cary as well but I doubt it'll be much! Bottoms:

These pants were worn by Kyla in Search + Destroy! They don't fit AG perfectly, but they work with longer shirts! They are not AG brand.

This skirt was made by kittzykk with a Liberty Jane pattern! It's adorable but I don't use it enough.

These leggings were also made by kittzykk and once again are adorable, but I can never manage to get them on my dolls :P

This is Josefina's skirt. It's from one of her outfits (possibly retired?) and is AG brand. It will come with the red sash it was sold with I just forgot to include accessories with the photos.

I have no idea what brand this skirt is, but it isn't AG. It fits AGs perfectly though and it's in great condition, just not my style :P

Dresses:

This dress is from Battat, and although a little tight, it fits AGs well. It's denim and cowboy themed.

This dress is actually a dog dress so it's a little open at the back, but as long as she wears a skirt underneath, no dolly bottoms will be revealed XD It fits AG perfectly as well!

This is a retired AG dress that I got at AGP LA when I was 10... I'm going to miss it but I never use it so I'll sell it. It doesn't come with it's shoes, leggings or bag, just the dress.

This dress was given to me by someone and I believe it is home made! It would make a cute outfit for a younger doll, but mine don't really wear it much :P

Outfits:

This is the AGP New York PJ set. It's retired, exclusive and comes with both it's pieces.

Now we have Nicki's obviously retired, meet outfit. It comes with just the top and skirt and I LOVE the boots. I do love the outfit too but my dolls never wear it and never have a reason to. :/

This outfit comes with 4 pieces: 2 pairs of pants, a jacket a tee, oh and lets not forget the belts. I don't have all of them but I am selling all that I do have, which is most. They tie the jacket up. Sorry that they aren't pictured. This outfit is AG brand and retired as well. I don't have the headband or mats or anything either.

This is some pieces from an unknown brand that I got together. It's black tights, a red turtle neck and a fringy skirt. There is a matching scarf that isn;t pictured. It works as a costume of sorts and is tight on AG dolls but fits.

Tops:

This is a what I believe to be retired, light blue, AG exclusives hoodie from AG Place New York. Works for boy dolls too! I'm sad to part with it, but no longer use it enough to keep it :/

I am again, sad to part with this tee. It is a retired tee from an old AG outfit. It's adorable, but long forgotten by me and never worn. Although you can rarely have too many tees I'd like to get different ones.

This tee is from build a bear, and is slightly too big but fits when tied or secured with an elastic. It's pretty cute but just another shirt the dolls never wear.

This last shirt is the current "My AG" meet outfit top. It's cute enough but I never loved it all that much and it sits in my doll clothes box, never worn, so if you like it, buy it! It won't be around much longer! Doesn't come with the other parts of the outfit.

Etsy :/

So I'm intending on selling shirts again on etsy as well as posters, but I'd really love to do something that contributes to the doll market. Since we've started to look elsewhere for doll products after AG continues to raise their prices, I want to make something that people can usefully buy as an alternative to AG. There's people who make clothes (I'm horribly slow at seeing) polymer clay jewelry and food (everyone does that) jewelry (I'm also bad at making quality jewelry) and even furniture (my dad can, but I cant) so here's the thing: what can I sell on etsy and make easily? I don't know what to do! I thought of fixing up old dolls and customizing them but that would be expensive and I don't know how many people would pay for a custom doll. I kinda like the idea of clay but everyone does it do I'd hate to be just another clay sculptor. Anybody have any ideas as to what to make? I just can't think of anything but I really want to make something special for etsy again. Something that I'm known for. Perhaps I should really work on my sewing skills... Nonetheless tell me, what would you buy from me if I sold it?

Series Decision and Etsy

So as it turns out, The Ballerina Project prevails! This I am happy and sad about. I'm sad only because I have a bit of a better set/costume option for Something Always Happens in Asia, but I'm REALLY happy because I couldn't think of ANY plot for Something Always Happens in Asia, yet I have a trillion ideas for The Ballerina Project! This will be much easier! I'll just have to reuse clothes sometimes... Also I made a video today and I'm trying to do as many as I can over this break including starting the series so I just thought I'd announce it! Likely start it on Monday or maybe sooner! Oh and about Etsy, I got a new order of tees in (THIS TIME THEY'RE LIBERTY JANE PATTERNS AND SEWN BY MONCHATDANSLALUNE SO THEY'RE 1000X BETTER!) And so I'll be able to continue with the custom ones, and in fact, I was kinda wondering if anyone's even still interested in the GOTYS ones, or if I should stick to selling custom ones. I'm also thinking of starting to sell posters again(FOR CHEAPER AND BETTER QUALITY :D) so I'm also wondering how people feel about that. Otherwise, I'm considering making customized dolls from TLC dolls, or maybe painting and re-selling doll beds or something... I dunno, big projects, but tell me what you think about shirts and posters again in the comments below! I'd have new posters like S+D, Ask Asha, The Ballerina Project, a new family one, maybe another group one and perhaps Peyton or Music in Me again! We shall see! You can suggest posters too! :)
PS, I'm thinking of renaming Cécile to Noëlle because I like the name better and I never got attached to the name... Thoughts? They're both French and I much prefer Noëlle, plus I've hardly had her long enough for it to be a big change so I'll see XD

iMovie Quick Fix?

So after getting iMovie I quickly realized that iMovie seconds are much longer than WLMM seconds. Now this is the only major downside and I still prefer it over WLMM any day but I wanted to fix it. I tried using framebyframe but can't figure it out whatsoever, and then I thought of something, why not speed up the video as a whole? So I tried it on my intro because it didn't require any sound and it worked! All I did was save the movie like I would to upload it, then re-import it and sped up the entire video at once. But here's the problem: music becomes sped up too. Then I thought, why not slow the music down in the original to the same amount I'll speed it up later on and so when I do speed it up, the music's normal. So I tried it out, and miraculously it works, however it's a little bit of extra work, so if you have any advice to speed up a stop motion on a mac, by all means, let me know! Now to figure out overlays... XD

A little perspective

So today I it a message from a girl new to YouTube. One question she asked me was if I could explain to her what a subscription is. Now I don't rally remember it but I have a feeling I didn't know what they where at first either. This kinda hit me, the fact that someone joined YouTube, completely unaware what a subscriber was was really cool. Everyone is so wrapped up in subscribers and addicted to them that subscribers are all they care about. However, in the end, you can be on YouTube without out even knowing what they are, much less caring about them. Subscribers are not the be-all-end-all of YouTube. Then I went to explain the concept to her. All I could come up with was that it was a little thing that gives you a notification when your favourite YouTubers post a video. An you wanna know why? That's all they are. Subscribers don't mean anythings and yet they are so glorified. It's not just AGTube either, even YouTube itself celebrates big number subscribers. I think that we all need to put our priorities into perspective. I've never cared an incredible amount about them, and I've never asked someone to subscribe in my time being here, but they've alway been important to me. We can still celebrate, but let's not put ourselves down because we have less subscribers, focus only on our subscriber count and glorify ourselves a if we have more than others. By definition, subscribers are no big deal.

So I've been watching all these amazing Christmas videos and feeling so GAH! I suck XD I'm actually trying to get this Christmas movie as we speak (First video on iMovie EVER!) but it's not nearly as good as anyone else's :P Anyways, I'm trying to get this done and then I'll do the last episode of S+D. After, I'll try and do some stop motions and then once my room's in place I can start a serie. I just feel like such a fail right now! Never any videos! Mer. So yeah mes apologias!

So I hope you say my updates video (look it up if you want the low down) but I'm just going to say what's happening! It's Christmas Eve (Very early that is) and tomorrow I plan on getting my macbook (I WON MYLIKES!!!) I'm starting a new series when my room gets renoed entirely (AKA soon) and I'll be doing lots of stop motions over the holidays (Including a Christmas one tomorrow, of which I am cutting close O_O) Now here's additional news! So firstly Asia started a blog! It's called Something Always Happens in Asia and it's inspired by the many adorable doll bloggers like Sabine Bouchard, Piper Nicole, Sophie Amélie Moreau, Violette Petit-Desmaris and many MANY more! It's going to document her little life in pictures and words and it has to do with something else that I'll get to in a minute! If you check it out, you'll notice there are weird names on there... Those names are possible characters and also people in the *fictional* Asia's life. There's a real Asia, and a fictional one. The real one is the one you know, and the fictional one is for the blog and a possible series. Or I guess you could say they're the same Asia and she just lives in to universes? Nonetheless she has two lives. Now about the series thing, I'm at a crossroads. I CAN'T DECIDE! I'll be making a video about this soon but here's the scoop:
I can't choose between doing a funny series or a serious one, so you should comment/vote:
1) The Ballerina Project: A Serious show about a girl who moves to New York to dance at her aunts ballet company. It's a TINY bit based on something that happened to me recently as far as the drama goes, which you'll see, and it's just about dance, friends and bullies. A major inspiration for it is Starlightharp aka Asterietoile
2) Something Always Happens in Asia: A Funny show about an 11 year old girl named Asia who moves from Japan (Coincidence?) and starts a club for all the new kids at her school. She makes a ton of friends, get's into random stuff, has lots of fun and it's just generally pretty funny! It's inspired by the cute activities that the doll bloggers on here do, hence Asia's blog and it ought to be adorable! Very different from my regular series =P
Now talk about which you like in the comments! I'll have posters for them soon (Well the one for The Ballerina Project is already floating around) and make the video about them then! Once my room is done I can start! I'll be keeping Asia's blog up regardless if I do the series or not, and I'll probably get around to doing both of them eventually! Keep in mind that the episodes will be shorter than usual (~5 mins?) and because of that I can make the seasons way longer and make more stop motions with them too! YAY FOR VARIETY! Anyways tell me what you think! Plus I'll FINALLY judge the Peyton contest and finish S+D this break if all goes well!

News and Un-Great Stuff

So guys I have lots to talk about updates wise. Allow me to begin. So I'm sure you've heard this a million times from me but I'm so stressed. Pulling my hair out stressed. As usual I have loads of homework and am finding myself having to work even harder at school to do well. My marks are dropping, dance is all over the place, homework is weighing me down and I don't even have time for friends. This being said, I barely have time for YouTube. I know I scarcely upload a video but I'm really trying and I'm sorry if I can't upload 2 per week. I'm aiming for at least 1. Not only am I constantly busy but I also don't have much of a place to film in. Today I went to Ikea to buy new furniture and when it came to getting a little wardrobe to keep the dolls in as planned for the past few months, my parents suddenly snubbed my plan and I now have literally nowhere to keep them. I owe my mom tons of money from travelling to Seattle, and on top of that I have to buy Christmas presents, and since my parents have told me if it's that important, and urgent, I should purchase it myself. Seeing I'm now literally broke, and trying to get my laptop, the doll room seems thousands of dollars, and months away, so I'll have to film in makeshift areas unless my parents let up. Cross your fingers. Now as for other things, I realize I have to finish the Peyton contest and reply to literally a thousand formspring messages (PLEASE I AM BEGGING PLEASE ONLY ASK ME A QUESTION IF IT'S IMPORTANT! I NEED TIME TO SLEEP TOO!) but until Christmas break I won't truly have any time to do it. Even then I have to study for finals (Like REALLY study) but I promise I'll find the time. I'll also have to wait until I have an actual doll room to start The Ballerina Project which is super unfortunate. I'll make stop motions though. I also hope I can make a Christmas movie. Anyways, I don't want pity or anything, I just want everyone to understand why I can't be on and making videos 24/7 as much as I'd like to. I have a lot going on so sorry about that. Hopefully next semester will be a little more settled down. Sorry again!

New Layout

So guys a quick post, YouTube has a new layout and I'm sure they'll force us all to change soon, so I changed in advance because my background fit. Anyways, we all like layout backgrounds but the old layouts don't fit because we can't make anything transparent, so I made a new template. You can just save this one here and the grey part will remain hidden so you can just decorate, colour change and edit this layout to your heart's content! Enjoy! =) Also, in order for it to fit, be sure to copy and paste the image (PC is right click, copy image, then paste into paint, and mac... I'm not sure =/) into your photo editor because saving it could distort the size!

I don't understand people.

I know I've made a lot of long winded speeches about hate and bullying but it's been touching on me and everyone again and as usual so I just want to say something. I just don't get people, and it seems like half the time I don't like them either. I live my life by 2 main little rules:
1) Do not steal. (There's this whole thing about killing is stealing away a life and blah blah read the Kite Runner and you'll see)
2) Just be nice and try and make everyone's day a bit better.
I'm going to talk about rule number 2. We have 1 life and we want it to be incredible. I try not to let sad things get me down because what's the point in being upset? I'm just losing precious minutes of life to something terrible. So here's the thing. I don't like to hurt people and I want everyone to like me. I have a fear of not being liked. When I can tell somebody doesn't like me, I go out of my way to make them think I'm a good, likable person. That's not the only reason I'm nice though. Everyone really should be happy. There are many things we want in life but I'm going to tell you a secret: on 11/11/11 11:11 I wished for happiness. That's all I want. To be happy. I don't care what it is that makes me happy as long as I'm happy. So I do not understand why people love to hate. Anyone who loves to hate should have not been born. What good does their hatred do? It just makes people spend their precious lives in tears and distress. Just be kind to people. There are other joys to life than hating. Let me get to my point: stop hating on the internet. Because you're reading my blog, I'm going to assume this doesn't apply to you, but this is just a tip for life. All because you have a keyboard does not make you some big deal. Would you say something completely hateful to a young girl to whom you've never met before on the street? No, you wouldn't. You wouldn't just walk up to her and say, "You're an idiot" because that's real life. You don,t have the guts to do it. But oh no,on the internet you're suddenly a huge deal and can bully whoever you want because you don't know them and it doesn't matter. But here's the thing: it does. Imagine that kid reading your comment. Sitting in their bedroom, reading it and thinking they aren't worth anything. Why would you do that? Of course we all come across a lot more positive things than negative but the negative stand out. Up until about a year ago, I thought AGTube was the best place EVER. Why? Because nobody hated and nobody judged. Now it's everywhere. I can't say a thing without some critical and useless response that I remember. It makes me want to leave. I wouldn't because all the wonderful people are too great to leave, but lately all the hate is just making me want to quit now. Don't worry I won't, it's just a thought. I don't like the people who deal with problems in a negative way. I don't like the people who say "I'm rude, get used to it." Because no, I won't. I don't deserve you're rudeness. Nobody does. I shouldn't have to waste my life putting up with you and nobody else should either. I have 100 years or less. I'm just kicking you out of life as I know it if that's you're attitude. Nobody likes someone who doesn't know how to treat people. Oh and speaking of treating people, putting "Not to be rude" or "No offence" beside something rude or offensive, does not make it kind or inoffensive. If you think it's rude or offensive, chances are it is, so if you don't mean it that way, don't post it. I just don't see how people can just be mean to somebody they've never met. People have claimed to HATE me over the internet. I've never MET YOU. Did I kill your family? No I didn't. That would break #1 of my moral code. You can.t just hate me because. In fact those people who do hate me actually usually haven't even talked to me before but have been told to hate me by someone else, or just decide to because since I am slightly popular on YouTube, that means I can't feel and hating doesn't matter as long as it makes them feel better. I started at 0 too and I made this myself. You can do it just as easily. I'm lucky people in real life are great to me. I go to such a great school, because I haven't been bullied in 4 years and it wasn't even severe. I'm happy at school, but when I get home I'm AFRAID to check YouTube. Haters are making me afraid to do something I love. I'm afraid of haters. I don't want to have to deal with them. So from here on out, I'm just ignoring them. I'll let all of you great girls down vote them to the very bowels of the earth until they melt in a pool of lava. Don't even bother saying anything to them, I appreciate it so much but I'd hate to see anyone get caught up in a war over me. Just down vote it and it's over. Thanks for the thought though <3 Anyways the point is hate may be in human nature, but let's break it. Hate is just a waste. I had such a good day until I logged on to see several hate comments. One even said "My sister thinks you're a terrible photographer but I think you're really good." I have nothing against this girl, I think she's lovely for being so kind to me, but I doubt her sister watches my videos and she just judged me then and there and hated me. I don't know who she is but she thinks I'm terrible. It's not a big deal but it does hurt a little. What can I do? I'm doing the best I can with my tools I can afford, and I don't take it to heart too much, but it hurts. People forget I'm human sometimes. I just brushed my teeth. I'm sitting on a mattress in my brothers room because I don't currently have a bedroom. A tree in my yard fell onto the road last week. Normal things happen to me. I'm normal. At school, I'm exactly like everyone else. You couldn't pick me out of the crowd. So treat me and treat everyone else like a human. Treat them how you'd treat yourself. Stop hating and bullying and stop making people ashamed and afraid to do what they love. Stop putting strangers down. It just adds more horror to the world as if we need more. be a light shining on the planet to make things brighter in a dark time. Our world is currently in hateful distress, so why can't we all just stop and be happy. Everyone hates. I just don't get it. Tomorrow, don't be jealous. Don't hate. Make it a goal to put a smile on a strangers face. Just make the world a little awesomer.
