So a lot of websites have been going black and whatnot against this ridiculous SOPA law. For those of you who don't know, it would basically allow one country to control what the internet does, and it's actually pretty fascist (Think Hitler and the current Chinese gouvernement) but that's a bad explanation so here's a good one, and also how to avoid SOPA:

But yeah, a lot of websites are "going dark" in protest to hope that this law isn't passed. Luckily, Obama seems to be against it so hopefully it won't, because despite the fact that my country did not elect the aged, confused, people into congress, we will still be affected, which sucks. Nonetheless, YouTube could be completely gone, like not existing anymore because of it (See video above) meaning we would lose everything because sometimes people use millionaires music in the background of their video to not make a profit, and often publicize the singer. I really don't understand that... When using music, you are only do the artist a favour... Anyway, this post is here to say that for January 18th (Today, Tomorrow, whenever you read this) My channel's "going dark" too. I'm not shutting it down but I'm putting a video on my now black channel with the rest of my videos hidden and everything else simply saying being against SOPA. It's only for a day so stay calm about it :P So yeah, be against SOPA, it screw with us all!
Also I'd like to say I have 10 days of freedom, so I'm making videos and doing awesome stuff! :D OKAY BYE! Also, go black for SOPA too! :D

I just read that Obama's for SOPA. It makes sense too because he just asked Congress if he can have more power. That means Congress, which is one of the only ways we can show what we want to happen, will have less power. I think Obama needs to go back to history class, becaause our constitutional republic does not work like that.

ReplyDeleteOh, that's horrible! I can't believe it. I wish I had a channel to black out! Can you black out a blog? I really don't like this SOPA thing. I've noticed a lot of websites are blacking out and protesting! It's cool to see all the teamwork by the website owners to stop this. :)
